About Us - In 1976

As most of us know, owning miniature horses is like having one potato chip.  One just wants more.  That was true with us too.  Soon we determined that we should become involved as breeders of the miniature horse.  So, in 1976 we acquired a two year old mare named Ohio's Salt and Pepper; a half sister to the beautiful little stallion that was destined to become known as the infamous Flying W Farms Little Blue Boy.  Yes, she too, along with her second daughter, is one of the swing team pictured on the cover of the February/March 1985 issue of the Miniature Horse World.

OHIO'S SALT AND PEPPER  has proven to have been a great acquisition.  She has produced fifteen foals for us.  In addition, she has been a great show mare.  She was part of the first show of the Miniature Horse at the Kentucky Horse Park in 1984 when we showed out of the "Big Barn".  In her younger years we showed her in confirmation classes and draft harness classes.  We continued to show her under draft harness until 2004.
